The Summit for Religious Freedom
I was the sole graphic designer for Americans United’s first three Summit for Religious Freedom (SRF) conferences in 2023, 2024, and 2025. For the conference itself I created nametags, programs, backdrops, photo props, table tents, presentations, and more.
Americans United promotes the Summit for Religious Freedom year round with ads in its Church & State magazine as well as social media graphics and email announcements about keynote speakers, scholarships and discounts, and webinars.

Out of home
I had the designed a digital billboard and truck for Americans United’s first marketing campaign, reminding the attendees of the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee that church and state should stay separate. Additionally, I was proud to create protest signs for the announcement of Americans United’s legal team filing a lawsuit against Missouri’s abortion ban in January 2023 and for the rally during the United States v. Skrmetti Supreme Court case oral arguments in December 2024.

Marketing campaigns
Interim Visibility Campaign
Americans United’s first ever marketing campaign, launched during the lead-up to the critical 2024 election, the 2024 interim visibility campaign alerted our audience to the ways in which Project 2025 could affect their everyday lives.

Freedom Without Favor Campaign
In the wake of the 2025 presidential inauguration and the four-year anniversary of the January 6 insurrection, Americans United sympathized with the devastated public while ensuring our audience that this was not the end of the fight. This campaign garnered over 67 million views and was featured on platforms like The Washington Post, Mother Jones, and The New Republic.

Fundraising appeals
As past of the annual end-of-year fundraising campaign at Americans United, I created email infographics to share with our audiences all of our wins for the year and to show what their past gifts made possible.

One of Americans United’s highest-performing fundraising campaigns was dedicated to exposing Christian Nationalist “villains”. I created visually consistent yet intriguing digital and print artwork for a campaign to spread awareness of the harm caused by Christian Nationalists like Leonard Leo and Pam Bondi. The below Meta and Google ads coordinated with an informative direct mail insert.

One focal point of Americans United’s fundraising in 2024 was warning Americans of the dangers of Project 2025, which is exposed in the following direct mail insert. The visual theme emphasizes the plan’s dangerous effect on public schools, which is one of Americans United’s top issue areas.

Project 2025 toolkit
As communicators, one challenge that Project 2025 presented to us was the need to spread this message fay beyond Americans United’s usual audience. To accompany direct mail, paid advertising, and videos on the subject, I led the creation of a toolkit with a script for alerting friends and family to the threat. Our digital audience also saw a series of social media posts that simplified this complex manifesto into easy-to-understand graphics.

Writing
While my title and role at Americans United focused on graphic design, I also had the opportunity to write the cover story for the February 2025 issue of Americans United’s Church & State Magazine.
